Most of  the  fence posts were today welded into place, before the weather brought a halt to work being performed by track officials and volunteers.

A third of the tracks fence has been removed to have new posts fitted, raising the upper level to a uniform height and meeting safety requirements.

The build up of clay around the top of the fence was also removed, and will be incorporated into the existing surface for next season.

The remaining posts will be fitted next Sunday, the 28th of May, as well as making a start to attach the safety wire.

Many hands make light work, so if you can spare a few hours to help out in any way on Sunday to help roll out the cable and wire, it would be appreciated.
