The upgrades, renovations and general tidy up being undertaken at the track have made a huge difference as the season opening practice day, this coming Saturday, rolls around quickly.
The pit extension is all but complete, with only a gate required to finish the job.
The wall has been pressure cleaned and repaired, ready to be painted in the next few weeks. We had hoped to have it painted before the practice day, but it wasn't possible. Some of the old sign writing from many years ago has been exposed during the cleaning process.
During a busy weekend, other jobs carried out by club members and volunteers included the removal of green waste, canteen prepped, club rooms cleaned and tidied, all the bins painted and the lawns tidied up.
Those regular visitors to Carrick will be surprised at how good the grounds are looking, so make sure you come along to the practice day this Saturday from 1pm to check it out.
