$10K TO WIN Gene Cook Memorial | January 9th & 10th 2026
Refer to Carrick Speedway Policies and Procedures (Safety Rules)
Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway is surrounded by facilities used for the pacing club, including trotting tracks that circle the complex. While we understand parking can be difficult on the big shows, under no circumstances are vehicles allowed to drive on or park on the trotting tracks, as they are causing significant damage to the surface. The overflow car park has been marked out in green, and any vehicle found to be parking in the red zone will be asked to move, or if fails to do so, may be towed.
There will be security on site to ensure parking is only in the permitted areas, so please obey all requests from security and enjoy the racing.
The complex is now fully enclosed, so instead of paying as you drive in and then parking, you now park and enter through one of two pedestrian gates.
The gates are located behind the main control tower, and next to the Geoff Stagg Grandstand on the back straight. The car park caters for approximately 500 vehicles and parking is free.
Disabled parking has been moved to two areas, one behind the Geoff Stagg Grandstand and the other near the control tower ticket box.
Spectators can access the toilets behind the tower while still within the fenced area, but you will need to have a stamp out to use the back straight toilets.
A General admission ticket allows access to all banks and grandstand seating. There is no reserved seating.
Patrons may bring their own food items to the venue.
Yes. However please note NO GLASS can be brought onto the premises.
No. Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway is an alcohol free venue for BYO drinks. However there are licensed areas where alcohol can be purchased and you can only drink liquor in these authorised permit areas
The track has food and drink outlets serving hot food such as hamburgers, hot chips, pies, hot dogs, lattes and cappuccinos, etc. A selection of cold drinks from the Schweppes range is available. The coffee van that was previously behind the Geoff Stagg Grandstand is now located next to it and the pit canteen is now only accessible to those in the pits. All other food vans and merchandise will remain in their previous locations
The issue of smoking on the banks has been a problem since the Government implemented the regulations.
These are not Carrick Speedway rules but Tasmanian Government Legislation that we are required, as a facility who has the public enter, to enforce the legislation.
As the signage states, there is no smoking within 20 metres of the competition area which in our case is the track and also within 20 metres of seating area – spectators.
That means all smokers need to move off the spectator banks to the designated smoking areas Please use the buckets provided to dispose of cigarette butts.
Tickets are available to pre purchase online to speed up access, and tickets are available at the Pedestrian Entry Gates on race nights. EFTPOS and cash facilities are available at the gate.
Choose an “equal or lesser priced” event, from our current season calendar. Present your ticket / Email confirmation to the cashier. The cashier will check your numbered ticket stub for validity. If valid, you will be provided with a new ticket.
Yes, pit tickets are available to purchase from the Pit Office. Competitors entering the track, must access via the pit gate and complete their entry into the track and pits at the same time. Driver Pit Entry is $10.00 and $20 for non drivers (16 years and over) whether insured or not.
The pit area has been extended which has provided much more flexibility in the pit allocation areas, however this means that the pit canteen is now only accessible to those in the pits
Carrick Speedway will only accept Electronic One Day Driver Licences up to 5pm the day prior to racing. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate documents for the division you will be racing with.
We understand the inconvenience of small children being at the track when parents are racing but under no circumstances must any child enter the pits in a vehicle. We have had occasions were children are hidden in transporters taken into the pits, then need to gain access to the spectator banks. This will be not be taken lightly and there will be severe consequences for those drivers involved.
Carrick Speedway has the Cranes Combined Merchandise Shop on turn 3. Various items are available including t-shirts, hoodies, drink bottles, keyrings, thermal drink mugs, Frisbees, stubby holders and hats. EFTPOS facilities are available.
No. Any business selling goods at Carrick Speedway must have a vendor contract with Carrick Speedway Management.
